Default Crysis Mods/levels/screenshots thread.

Ok, so I know that there is a Crysis discussion thread, but this is different. Kind of. And I feel needs a dedicated thread for all the Crysis junkies and for people that just want to extend the life of the game. And well have some fun doing it. Share levels we come across, with links, personal and official configs (with links) and some screenshots of the mayhem that ensues.

Let's face it. The mod community for this game is second to none. And as a result, stuff is spread out across the internet. So let's just share some secrets, and personal works that we are proud of.

First up on my current list is Forgotten Island. A simple single player map with only a few enemies to deal with, but a photo shoot, locale that boogles the mind.

I have tried 2 configs on this map so far and they are pretty equal in terms of eye candy. No TOD mods, just configs.

I modified this well known config and screenshots are 16Q AA.

Crysis with my own custom TOD and my own Config

IMO i think these custom configs and TOD that you can download are crap, that CCC one is prolly one of the worse in terms of quality.

Those are old shots, i've toned down the HDR strengh in the newer version so that it looks more 'real' and not like someone has dropped a nuke on the island.

The Config and TOD in my shots is the TOD i personally have done, hence why there is not a download for it or one for my config for that matter

Your screen shots need some AA love, with the new Nvidia drivers transparecy AA works on the tree leafs and that now. Only problem is, its only 'super sample' TRAA that works and not plain old MSAA

I 'just' about manage play Crysis with my Config @ 1280x1024 with 4xMSAA + 4xSuper Sample AA on the trees, so with a tri-sli system you should handle it fine And the impact it makes on image quality is well worth the drop in performance.

Yes but Crysis doesn't apply AA to the trees and bushes etc..etc..you have to force it.

Go into your Nvidia control panel
Go to 3D settings
Change 'transparecy AA' to type "super sample"

Load Crysis up and change in-game AA level to 4xMSAA and not 16xQ

This only works with the LATEST Nvidia drivers though and it only works in DX9 and not DX10.
