Well, I just stopped by the local Gamestop and paid in full for the game (PC Version). 11-10-09 can't come soon enough.

appears to be cod4 with new skins, sounds, and maps...definitely not worth the $50+ price tag.

I believe it's more worthy of the $60 price tag than L4D2 is of its $50 tag. My reasoning is a brand new campaign, new co-op game mode, more weapons, etc. This is an actual sequel, the only thing that could make it more of a real sequel would be a brand new engine, but I'm sure people who enjoy COD4 won't be upset that they can play the next installment of Modern Warfare without having to wait 5 more years for a new game engine.

I'll be buying this as fast as possible after release.
I really really hope this game is like cod4 with the changes i hope they have made.

I was quite dissapointed that they didn't add a new engine. But the graphics are still a great improvement compared to cod4. Then again, the good side is that im positive I will be able to run this game maxed without much hassle.

Also, the gameplay is what matters in the end. If thats great, graphics become nothing but an additional bonus.

I'm definitely getting it. I am currently playing CoD4 for the first time (one of the few remaining). The single player portion is probably the best of any game I've ever played. Operation Flashpoint will be out next week so that will be interesting to see as well.
