Is there a software out there that will let me customize the keyboard to substitute keystrokes for other keystrokes and if so, will games pick up on this?

For instance, I want to make Shift + R to equal L. But still retain the functionality of Shift alone and R alone.

Or S + R to equal 8, etc.

well, depends on your keyboard, but there ARE programs to make macros, like say... autohotkey (freeware)
