Normal or Hard
Never played on easy in my life (unless the game was an easy game with no difficulty setting) If the game is long, I play on Normal setting for the first time and if I do a second run it's going to be on hard (good example would be the MGS series in which I do this) If the game is short like Dead Space, I play on Hard for the first time (and boy did I regret it, I ran out of ammo every 5 to 10 mins)

That's precisely why I hate hard mode. I like it fine in some games; I can do Crysis in hard like there's no tomorrow and enjoy it. But Dead Space? No way. The fight to survive would be too desperate to make the game enjoyable for me.
