Default Issue with Team Fortress 2 gaphics setting defaulting

Hi guys,

I normally turn off HDR in TF2 because I don't really care for it, plus it gives me a nice performance boost. Just recently though, I have noticed that when I go back into the game the HDR setting sometimes turns itself back on. It's really annoying to have to turn it off everytime I use the game. Does anyone here know to permanently turn it off and keep it from changing back?

I would post this on the steam forums, but for some reason, my account has yet to be activated.

Check your launch options to see if your DirectX version is being changed. Right click on TF2 -> Properties -> Set launch options. If you see either -dxlevel or -autoconfig, remove them. Another option is to add "+mat_hdr_enabled 0" and "+mat_hdr_level 0" to your launch options.

Cheers for that, I'll try that one tonight and see if it works.

+1 This has worked a treat! Thanks mate Just out of curiosity, do you know all these commands off the top of your head or do you know where a list of them is available? If you do, please could you post me a link?

It's all off the top of my head after playing CS: Source for way too long I'm sure a quick Google will turn up some results.
