Default Games since 06/07 that are higly recommendable?

SO I haven't been in the PC gaming market for quite some time. I think the last proper PC game I played before switching to the X360 was HL Ep1, and I began playing Stalker, which didn't run too well on the 3700+.
So I basically need a list of games that are highly recommendable to play since 2006/2007...

COD 4 was one of the last fps games i REALLY enjoyed.

The rest in no order of preference - Fallout 3/Bioshock/Assassins creed/Mass Effect/Dead Space/Mirrors Edge/COD5

I did'nt like Crysis or Far cry 2 @ all, but everybody makes a big fuss about it, so i guess there must be something wrong with me then.

Mirror's Edge was a pile of junk. Great Idea, poorly exectuted, and highly schitzophrenic. Far Cry 2 I enjoyed and I enjoyed Crysis lots too. I plyed around with lots of the graphical mods however which made it more moddy, not so like, Whiteboard, boilerplate, or run of the mill.

Crysis is a must for a PC gamer, your rig will give you incredible visuals

Stalker: shadow of chernobyl is a great game, one of the last great PC-exclusive titles. If the graphics are a bit dated for you, Stalker Complete 2009 is a great mod which leaves 99% of the gameplay intact and unviolated, yet gives you vastly superior visuals. Download here: http://artistpavel.blogspot.com/2009...lete-2009.html

Stalker: clear sky is also a great game, play SOC first as it has better gameplay IMO. The new stalker game, stalker: call of pripyat should be out this fall as well if you get hooked.

World in conflict is a great game, it's an RTS but it's fast-paced enough to keep any FPS fan interested. Looks great too.

Yeah I'll definitely check out Stalker again, thanks for the mod!

Crysis is a no brainer. I just borrowed a friend's copy of Anno 1404... I loved the predecessors!
