Ok guys.....

Im getting SO bored. I played Guildwars for almost 3 years now (According to the in-game /age command) Then i thought i'd give WoW a chance..... Played for awhile.... didn't care for the P2P. Ive also played Hellgate, but, eh, wasnt my thing.

I was addicted to Diablo 2 for the LONGEST time. But, id love to find a game that has the MMORPG qualities.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Dunno what to tell you, almost all MMOs are just grind grind grind...

They're all just glorified chat rooms. This coming from someone who played WoW for 4 years and EVE Online for 3 years(when it came out)

If player versus player is your thing, I believe i've heard Warhammer is good for that.. Dunno from experience though. I personally would wait for Aion this fall if I were you. If you preorder it, you can play the closed beta on weekends, according to a personal friend of mine.

I play WoW, I used to play City of Heroes. PvE wise, CoH/CoV is pretty cool to play when taking breaks from WoW, but I love WoW and the Arathi Basin and Warsong Gultch battlegrounds. CTF and territories ftw.

Do check out Aion though (at least some videos). I watched a presentation on it at PAX '08 and was very impressed with it. It looks like the first MMO that has truely distracted me from WoW.

I checked Aion out, and WOW. I spent forever downloading the game files..... Then didnt check out the need for a key. But i dont mind the grind grind grind bit. And PvE i enjoy the most. I did do some PvP in Guildwars (When factions came out)

Not really WoW, is mostly quests I barely did any grinding There's even less once you get into the Northerend.

All the quests are just a grind to hit lvl 80...

PVP is a complete grind, either you grind honor for some crappy pvp gear, or you grind arenas for better pvp gear, I've done over 2,000 games this arena season to hit 2250 rating just to get gear. I mean, yeah It's fun in battlegrounds when you two shot people in bad gear, but it gets boring quickly.

Arenas are probablly the only fun part of WoW at the moment, and even then, Blizzard has managed to turn it into a grind by starting at 0 rating and requiring 50+ games just to get a decent 1800+ rating...

PVE Is the same thing, you go up against the same bosses grinding until your loot *MIGHT* Drop, I swear I've downed Razorscale every week since release of Ulduar and he STILL hasnt' dropped the healing mace... I'm just about to completely give up for some of the better games out there now. (Non MMO)

Biggest problem with PVE raiding in my opinion, it's just too damned time consuming, it's almost like a second job...

do as i'm doing, work as much as possible, to save money for the massive amounts of time i will spend playing d3 constantly.

and i do realize it's not an mmo, but who cares, Diablo owns
