Heres a tip: you dont need to install fraps to see the framerates, just hit the F key while in game, and the FPS will show up in the corner of the screen.

This is probably and might still be my all time favorite game.
Guess I just got stuck with the epic version that lets you select 1680x1050, but just doesn't give good enough frames to actually play it at that res.

I'll start it up and see what frames really are like though.

Have you tried patching it?

Perhaps it's been updated to support newer graphics drivers?

this and monster truck madness were so great! There was a huge underground support for Monster Truck Madness and making levels for it, so much fun!

Try Vista's compatibility options. Right click on the program, and under the compatibility tab select "Run the in compatibility mode for" >> and select Windows 98/ME.

I remember Flight simulator gave me problems too, using the compatibility fixed it. Select disable visual themes while your in there too, Vista's themes can throw off old programs.
