Tried running it with windows and kaspersky firewalls disabled and still get the same problem

If anyone can help to get it working

Second thing I'd check is your network connection...

go ro run, type cmd to bring command prmopt...

then cd/
then c:/ipconfig /release - this will kill your current connection
then c:/ipconfig /renew - this will get you a nice fresh new one

try it then... see if that helps.

second thing I'd try is Data Execution prevention...make sure the executable is not blocked... or if it's steam - make sure THAT execution isn't blocked...

besides turning off Kaspersky (which I hate and use at work) firewall... kill it totally, even the processes in the task manager if you can....

My pleasure dude, out of curiosity:

Was it the IP address or the Data Execution Prevention.

If IP - you can use that trick any time you have network problems... works ALL the time. If not, reset the modem (unplug 10 secs) - then do the trick

If it's DEP - then it will work forever for that program - but DEP needs to be set like that for other games too sometimes..
