Im working on FPS zombie game with a few other developers here on OCN. We are looking to hear your ideas on some things.

Mainly, what weapons would you want to see in the game? We also deal with makeshift weapons, so think outside of the box and we will love it!

We also want to hear what you think would be your top 10 items to find or have in a zombie situation. Obviously things like guns, ammo, food, water are already included so no need to mention them.

Please be realistic! Im not looking for 4 barrel rocket launchers that also fire shotgun shells and .223 ammo. If you post ridiculous nonsense you and your idea will be ignored.

I love ZOMBIE stuff.

Let me first point you to Max Brooks' Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z. Two great books for planning on Zombie uprisings.

If the Zombies ever rise up around here, I will be packing a Crowbar for certain.

Okay, what we need is a Shotgun that is hard to reach but has a bit more punch then normal (Kinda like the Redeemer from UT99 eh?)
We also need something like L4d as a Safe room so we can restock so we don't just run out of ammo and die.

Play on the Crowbar, give us a TIRE IRON RAWRRRRRRRR. Also a pistol that is actually useful would be nice, I love pistols for the accuracy and how much damage you can do at close mid and if your lucky, long range.

Ill keep ideas coming as I think of them.

I'm telling you, the Crowbar is a God send. It is efficient for dispatching Zombies & it is functional in a million situations. Tire Iron, not so much.

As for Firearms, they are good until either you run out of ammunition or the Zombie mobs hear your gunshots and are drawn to your location.

The best weapons against Zombies are Silent and capable of causing massive head trauma. Granted, you don't want to get caught up in the middle of a melee though.

For distance kills Bows and Crossbows (with scope) are superior in an Urban setting so as not to draw the attention of Zombies that you aren't killing.

Although the very best strategy for Zombie survival is to run or bike North and away from Urban Centers.

Perhaps different magical stengths for each character. Also boosters around the map like jumping high and double damage and invincible.

That's a bit detailed but it could be nice.

Guns are very important. I'd expect at least three pistols(9mm, .45, Deagle) normal shotgun, auto shotgun, a couple of assault rifles, molotovs, etc.

glad to see you guys have some interest in the game! as far as the chair thing is concerned, you have no idea what you have just hit on

if anyone has any other item suggestions, feel free to post - we will be checking this thread; thanks for any (non-ridiculous) thoughts!
