I don't think I could play this game with a pad. I am not into consoles so I prefer keyboard and mouse. I wonder if the modders or LucasArts will release a patch to make it more a.... pc game

P.S : Can't wait to go to HOTH and kill Skywalker . Shame there is no Force - Choke option. Maybe there is but I did not unlock it yet .

I owned and completed it on the PS3 and thought to myself...This game is just missing some things. Well it was and none of it seems to be in the PC version accept the extra mission which is something I can live without. It's a shame, I would easily pay $50 for it again if it was perfected. Now I'm not even sure if I'd buy it in a bargain bin for $10.

I am a big fan like you OP, I just wish Lucas could put some talent and effort in their game development.
I can agree there, the last Lucas Arts game I bought was Republic Commando and KoTOR 2. But the glory days of the Dark Forces Saga, X-Wing and Rouge Squadron are gone

I thought NA was Nov 6 and Euro was Nov 11th. Also for being a year later you'd think the port was done properly.

To be honest, I did not even read comments about the game. I got it and played. Heck, I do not have a PS3 or X-BOX so you can imagine that apart from the trailers on youtube, I saw a while back I did not know what this game was about. You can imagine my horror when I saw it lacks basic computer config settings.

Some people mentioned here in the thread that they are waiting for "the proper one". Which one is that?

I did like KOTOR 1&2 as well as the dark forces games, x-wing, and Jedi Academy.

I was so excited for the force unleashed because it had everything I wanted out of a star wars game besides Gameplay... the biggest factor.

I can't believe this is just now being released for PC, I played it and beat it for PS2 when it came out last year. I never get tired of throwing people into walls and other npc's.

Yep, that's why I'm going to get it. I can't stand the roll system for force powers in the older games where the power I use has a great chance not to work at all. I always end up being a battle heavy character because I can't stand relying on the dice that heavily.

Time to start some mayhem.

In my posts I tried to show both the positive and negative. If the KOTOR series was amazing , forgeting about the 4 hours wasted in the Aris stage because of a bug , this one is good too. Ignore a few kinks, the ones I mentioned and it is enjoyable. I mean come on, does it get old throwing stormtroopers and slashing them with a lightsabre? That part will always remain a classic .

never gets old throwing them around, I find myself picking this game up from time to time to giggle a little while everyone around me dies.

GAMEPLAY --Continued ---

I've reached something I saw in the game trailer a while back. The stage where one needs to take down the star destroyer. I started playing at 2200 and was using the force to pull it down. On the screen you end up with the instructions on how to pull it down. a, moves the destroyer left, d, moves the destroyer right, mouse up, up, mouse down, down. So you follow the instructions and in the beginning everything seems to pan out. As soon as you start pulling it lower and lower those controls are giving you false information. For example, it showed me to lift up, or to pull down and my s+mouse down to force pull the destroyer would fail to appear. From 2200 hours till now, 01:10 I failed on how to pull it down. I tried everything and luckily my girlfriend noticed something. She had a fresh approach I was into the game for so long, I was actually getting mad. She said, ignore the instructions and align the destroyer straight so you can actually see the bottom. This meant, perpendicular to me. Something like this | -. Where | is me and - is the destroyer. She was right! Setting the destroyer in that position would automatically trigger the s+mouse down super force pull. God, how can they write the commands like that???

Does the PS3 version suffer from the same thing?
