Default Is Borderlands worth it?

Seems to be a really great game, but how long can it keep you busy? I have been reading others comments around the net and a lot of people say its gets boring fast. Is it worth the 50 bucks?

Im curious to hear about the battle grounds and PVP in the game, as well as the length of the game. I know if uses random generators for weapons, does it also use them for quests? thanks for the help!

It's good, but I am a little disappointed. My expectations were too high though.

I've played it a couple of times and am in no rush to go back to it. You should maybe wait till it's going cheap.

It does get boring rather quickly, even more so when everyone just messes around.

I guess it depends.

I would recommand it to anyone. Been a long while since a game had me hooked for almost 7 hours straight each night.
It has great replay value aswell.

Ive spended over 40 hours already, and i'm still not done finishing my first char.
After this i'm going to build a soldier, wich will probably take another good 50 hours or so.

Even tho ive played each mission like 5x already, they still keep me intrested.

Oh my god yes.

The weapons are randomly generated, and so are enemies on missions, but the missions themselves have set objectives.

The PVP can happen either via an Arena in game, or by Meleeing the other player while in co-op, and it's a lot of fun.

I really recommend that you get this game, I completed it, then started again immediately, it's that good.

Racked up 76 hours since release date. There's no way in hell this game is boring. You probably just suck and don't fight enough high-level enemies to get decent drops.

PVP is nothing special and it's not very popular.

@ OP, I have played this game and find it really exciting and good re playable fun but as is with almost any game, to each his own and every man has his own tastes. Sometimes I'm in the mood for mindless slaughter and rampaging, sometimes for a bit more of a puzzling game or something to scare me.

I think if the price doesn't drop dramatically in the next few weeks (probably wont) then spend the 50 bucks on it, should be well worth it in my opinion.
