Default Can't play multiplayer, why my internets so slow?

Hey everyone, i wanted to play some COD4 multiplayer just now but i keep getting connection interupted before i even play, and ventrilo says 800-1200 ping before i lag out. I am not downloading anything so what's the deal? I went on speakeasy and did the speed test. This is disgusting, no excuse in 2009, so what do i do? Can i overclock my modem? Cause it worked no problem this morning, 45 ping no problem, it's only acting up now, and i tried reseting my network, no go. What do i do?

Who is your ISP and what are your normal upload/download rates? Do a hard reset of your router, and modem at the same time. Keep us posted .

Cable users will notice their internet going on the fritz with more people using it. Remember that a whole block is sharing the same bandwidth.

DSL is slightly different, you wont feel anyone else using your bandwidth but often times the signal can get choppy. The best bet is to turn of the modem for 10 seconds and retry.

your ISP could also be throttling your connection if you have previously been using torrents or the like.

My internet speeds have been wonky lately as well.

Can't quite figure it out... Speeds have been basically cut into 1/4's. Not fun times

If you find a solution, be sure to inform me

There was snow near Waterloo I think yesterday. Did you guys happen to get any in GTA?

I see that you've got Bell, and they provide ADSL, correct? Most likely, there is a problem going on at your local DSLAM and you should call Bell up and get them to send a tech to check the Catina card, etc.
