It's possible that you have a pre-patched version. I downloaded mine from Gamestop, and it came fully patched all the way to 1.21. I found out by right-clicking on the installer (setup.exe), clicking the "Details" tab, and looking at the Product version. If it says 1.20 or 1.21 dot 0000 (e.g. mine says Product version 1.21.0000"), then it's fully patched.

If you have a Mods menu option in the In-Game menu, then it's fully patched. If you also have an adjustment for VSync and Motion Blur, then it's patched. There are other ways to tell, but I forgot what they are.

But yeah, mine came pre-patched, and when I tried to apply a patch, I think mine kept saying the same thing.

Same here from direct2drive. Came pre-patched. Ignore the version number that's on the start-up screen. Go to your control Panel / Uninstall Application and just highlight Crysis. It will siplay the version number at the bottom of the screen or in one of the columns to the right.

it wont matter that your on 64-bit

i think your download is just corrupted, best to try the download again, if it still doesn't work after it's finished, try it again at a different source

how ever i would try running in compatibility mode for Vista, before attempting the above

But doing the above will be faster and easier.

Again, please right-click the installer (setup.exe) and choose Properties. Then choose the Details tab. In the details tab, you'll see "Product version". What is the version number?

And again: when you open Crysis, does it have a Mods menu option? Does it have the ability to enable or disable Vertical Sync? Does it give you the option to adjust the Motion Blur?
