Default Anyone Ever Haf This Problem With Bioshock

Yes, yet another Problem with this horrible port for PC, but I love the game. I have this installed on my Sig Rig. I was having problems with the game locking up while changing graphics options and resolution. I ended up changing them manually in the Game files. Was working great through the plane crash and too the First bathysphere. Once you are in Rapture and leave the bathysphere you are prompted to jump over a fallen pillar and grab the Pipe wrench. One of the security robots goes after on the the Splicers and before you can even jump of the pillar the game will freeze. I can eventually get to the desktop and close the game. I uninstalled and reinstalled, and the same exact thing happens at the same exact moment. This is not a stability issue as I can play the game for however long I want, I just stay away from that area where it locks up. Does anyone have any input that could get me past this area? Or a saved game after this area? I tried the ATI fix and nothing changed. Thanks guys!

Have you tried reinstalling the game?

EDIT: When you do this be sure to clear your registry of it as well.

Just put in the saved game, and loaded it up. Ran great, and then froze right when Atlas starts talking on the Radio. It seems it always freezes when he speaks. Man, I thought it was going to work this time. Shoot. Well anyway, REP+ to ACHILEE5

atlas speaks right after the part where you inject yourself with the plazmid. and after the big daddy part right before u get to shock the control to open the door
