Would this be a total waste of time? pro/cons, would it help at all? I could fabricate a stainless steel resoviour at work, and then acctach a TCE underneath, cooling the fluid in the res, mabey not below Zero as that would freeze the water ect.. but say 5-10*C would there be anything wrong with this? as it would be easier on my part than trying to mod a block for one, just an idea, dont shoot me down too bad if its stupid

i tried this, you will get 1c off, from a naked core...... not really worth the effort...

I've tried it as well using two waterblocks. One was in the main loop while the other got a dedicated cooling loop. The TEC was sandwiched between them.
A TEC moving 90w only gave me 1-3C temp drop.

It does. It just takes a lot of power to chill water.
Put a bucket of water in a fridge and time how long it takes to freeze. Now put a bucket of water in a fridge with a 200w heat source then see what happens.
