Default tec on a northbridge

I want to put an 80w peltier on my maximus formula. And I need help, because it's my first time messing around with peltiers. I eventually want to put an arctic web on my cpu

I bought the following:
Koolance GPU-200 (Vid/MB) (http://www.koolance.com/water-coolin...product_id=566)
80w peltier
copper plate 50mmx50mm
Luberex Dielectric Grease 2 OZ.
Silicone Rubber Adhesive Sealant 3 Oz
Neoprene Square Sheet (4.5 x 4.5 x 0.25 inches)
Neoprene Gasket Material (3.5inch x 10inch sheet)

DID NOT BUY:
Red-X Corona Dope Conformal Coating 2 Oz. <how important is this>?

You may be wonder why I would want to start messing around with peltiers and my northbridge! Will I thought it would be a cheap way to get started. Hopefully, I can control condensation and not ruin my motherboard.

not sure if that koolance block is such a good idea. even if its anodized, it still causes corrosion if theres copper in the loop. (even if said copper is gold-plated)
other than that, i'd wait for ira-k to come by. he TEC's his CPU, knows everything about it.

why would you want to do this ? seems like a waste of time to me ?

dont forget you need MASSIVE pressure applied to the tec so you better be planning to BOLT the cold plate to the waterblock which makes this water block to small in my opinion

How important is the pressure applied to the tec when bolting it to the motherboard?

it's VERY important . thats why bought ones are literally bolted together.
Skullzaflare and Scarlet Infidel can back me up on this point as both have them experieance the difference pressure makes

yes i can lol

if you do not have the coldplated bolted to the waterblock it will not transfer heat correctly, meaning you run alot hotter without pressure than with it

the red-x just sounds like dieelectric grease, you want to coat a few things to seal the air and condensation out

Eventually its going to get out, your case isn't air tight.

I can and will. You need definitely need the TEC clamped to the water block as tightly as possible, sandwiched between the block and a cold plate.

The pressure required to mount the cold plate, water block and TEC assembly to the motherboard is nowhere near as large and this much pressure would easily break the motherboard.
