I'm in the same boat, looking at this myself. I might have to change my board to go above 4Ghz but the unit looks promising from what I've read as well.

awesome unit. pump isnt too good though. you may wanna get just the Boreas unit and add a pump and block yourself. make sure that all blocks you use are made nickel/gold plated copper, or if you can find them, silver(plated?) blocks. bare copper will cause galvanic corrosion in the TEC blocks.

well, i've installed the freezone elite and have so far to get it to work. the unit is running and cooling my cpu (hw monitor report 35C under heavy load), but i cant get the control center sw to run. i've found out that this is a common problem for vista users and am working with the techs at Coolit to get the bugs fixed. I can't wait to get the control center SW working so I can control the fan/pump/chiller! I've got my chip OC'd to 4.3Ghz and running Prime stress pluss folding and its holding at 35C.

Now the guys at Coolit are telling me that they are getting ready to release a 64bit firmware version for the controller unit so I have to wait. In the meantime, I'm getting around 21C idle and 35C load temps as reported by BIOS and HWmonitor. Yipee. Kinda sucks though cause I'm having trouble getting my board to get past 240 FSB. Not sure what the prob is. Onward and upward.

the saga continues. i started with vista 64 trying to get the freezone elite to run - no luck. the coolit guys told me to find a pc with xp and flash the controller since they dont have a 64 bit bootloader. i reluctantly reloaded xp (not a real big deal since this is a new build) and voila - it (sw control center) still doesnt work. now for some reason my idle temps have jumped to 50C!!! i'm waiting for more instructions from the techs at coolit. i'm now starting to suspect that i've got a bad unit. i hate RMAs. more to come...

Any update ldk. I am looking at this as well as I have located one for roughly the same price as setting up a watercooling only unit.

ok folks, heres some data points on the Coolit Freezone Elite. Its preliminary and hasty, but I'll post more once i conduct more tests. i wont say if i'm happy or not yet, but my overall temps are down after installing the fixed MTEC control unit. i will say from my quick tests today that a higher OC is in my future - whooohooo!

Note: Yes, I know the vcore is too high and I can tweak it down which will result in even lower temps. More to come on that.

Here's the data:
