Default Would this peltier be sufficient?

For my sig rig cpu only? Also how does it mount to the cpu? Is it via pressure between the waterblock and the pelt? http://www.frozencpu.com/products/24...05&id=4s32poWE

1st. you need a dedicated psu for the ttec
2nd. the tec mounts between the waterblock and a coldplate (a copper plate bolted to the waterblock)
3rd. ive never ran anything under a 320w so i do not know if its enough

for the psu wattage, you usually want something like around double what the tec is, or for a 320 around a 500-600w

try to get atleast 18amp on the 12v

as for coldplate you need to find one made for your waterblock if it even supports tec's

Also with the tec I listed in my second post, would I be better getting a 360 or 480 rad to better deal with the heat load? Edit: I have the apogee gt waterblock.

Edit 2: From the pic in this link http://www.frozencpu.com/products/24...05&id=4s32poWE the cold plate appears to be just a copper plate, so how are incompatibilitys between different waterblocks being as it looks to be a flat plate of copper?

i dont know if the apogee has a coldplate

i would go with a 480 if you have the money
also, just so you know before you ask you will NEED a coldplate lol, tec's are not effecient enough to run straight to the cpu

Yeah I know Ill need a coldplate, but question is why wont any cold plate work? What are the incompatibility's between the blocks and the coldplates, considering the coldplate mounts between the cold side of the tec and the cpu.

you need at the very least twice the wattage in qmax than what your trying to cool, though id recommend more. The 437 tec is 62mm big which makes it to large to fit under the apogee. you'd need a cold and hot side plate to uses it .

i've never seen a 62 + cold plate that you can buy off the shelf .. most people buy them and bolt them together them selves with some copper sheet. you have to bolt the hot and cold sides together cause TEC require ALOT of pressure more than can be applied to a cpu's socket

you my find my website of some help
