Yeah I bet it was pulling some major amperage, makes a great space heater to....

Hey you have to do what you have to do. It will be fun to play with when you get back here to. I'll be looking forward to some more updates then!..

I haven't been doing much of anything, I'm bored with DICE and it's a royal pain for me to get Ln2 and I need that to take it to the next level.

I bought an old Chilly 1 single stage from CD and have been using that lately, works good on the E8### chips, I can load at -30C with a decent clock on it. So that's kind of fun. Hopefully by Winter I'll get in the mood to do some more DICE runs again. I hope I haven't totally burned myself out on it..

I guess Ln2 and a chiller are the only other "normal" cooling solutions I haven't clocked with yet, so thats something to look forward to in the future.

Man, that really sucks.

But you know, custom UPSs are CHEAP AS HELL if you do it yourself. 90% of a UPS's cost is in the Li batteries that come with them. So all you have to do is get the circuitry from a UPS that can do 2.5kW or whatever, which costs almost nothing, then hook up deep cycle car/marine batteries to it. If the circuitry needs a 24V battery instead of 12V then just hook two up in series, and if you want to increase runtime then hook them up in parallel.

Overall you'll only spend about $200 doing it this way, and that's with US pricing. Over there it'll be even cheaper.

haha well if your getting bored then i dont know whats gonna happen to the rest of us... you are the ultimate extreme cooler guy but hopefully you do some more tests you usually end up making me want to do it aswell... and once i have a system up in the states i think im gonna save up for a test bench to do the DICE tests and etc (all because of you )

haha its ALOT easier said then done... finding the circuitry alone is a major pain i have tried to go this route but it has come to a dead end multiple times... ive given up and just trying to get this system back up cuz i wanna start gaming again

anyways a small update ... instead of the Corsair HX1000 which would cost me $240 i picked up an Ultra X3 1000 from a fellow OCNer and saved over $100 so hopefully in a week or two it should arrive here and i should be able to get this system underway again ... man ive missed having a powerful system
