Default Sempron Le 1150 low power

I want to tec this little low power single core. it's TDP rated for 45watts
it seem to OC well 3.2 on air. I've had it on two different boards (msi K9A2-P and Asus M3A 79-t-deluxe). Wanted to direct die cooling for it.

I was looking at using a air heat sink with a large base 45 x51
(scythe mugen2 or infinity).
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835185093

and 225 watt 40mm tec
http://www.shop.customthermoelectric...&productId=133

I know water cooling is suggested for best results, I'm not really looking for subzero, as this is 65nm AMD and the cold bug most of the time.
the two heat sink I used with it On the OC barely got a hot thermal past was Tx-2.

I was also thinking I could try popping of the IHS like someone did with the I7, if I wanted better temperatures.

so what kinda of power supply should I use?
I already have a mother board in mind....
do you think it's possible to fit everything in a mid to tower that is wide enough?
yes I probably insulate the motherboard

if it's a 40x40 TEC that would fit under a TRUE i believe .. so all you'd need is a cold plate and do the bolts up very tight ( you'd need to buy some long bolts) on the true to apply the correct force to the TEC

You'll probably be able to run it at 5 volts off the psu though 7 or maybe 9 volts would be better.
At 5 volts you probably dont need to worry about condensation proofing

Edit: i just checked out that cooler it should work well enough. AS LONG as it has a good backing plate .Otherwise you'd have to have a hot and cold plate and bolt them together

most heat sinks for AM2/AM2+& AM3 just use the stock mounting clip points.

how I think a few boards come with metal back plates
old my sunbeam CCFis mounted like this it's damn near impossible to get off.

According to eXtreme PSU calculator that CPU at stock voltage uses 45w at 2ghz, 72w at 3.2ghz and 83 at 3.7ghz.

Increasing the voltage will increase this. e.g. at 3.7ghz raising the voltage from 1.35v to 1.45v will bring you up to 96w. Still pretty low power whatever speed/voltage you run it at.

EDIT: also this is maximum power draw which you will never get and even then you'll never get all that heat into the water.

voltage listed.

this was going to be on an air cooler and even 96 Watt seem lowk for the size of an air cooler I'll be using.

Except it won't be 96 watts it'll be 96 watts + the heat produced by the TEC you wish. This means you'll need a TEC undervolted such that it produces as little heat as possible whilst still being able to move more than 100 watts. Keep this in mind while air cooling.

good point.

Edit: how many watts you think the coolers good for ?
