Default mounting to air cooler question

does anyone have any experience with mounting an air cooled cpu cooler to a tec?

i'm pretty new at this so i dont know exactly how things bolt up and what not. from the very limited understanding i have it would go something like this:

cpu cooler
tec assembly (cold plate, tec, hot plate)
cpu

is that how it gets assembled from top to bottom? if this is the correct configuration then i just don't understand how i'm going to mount the cpu air cooler to the tec assembly.

If it's the i7 in your sig....forget it....air cooling doesn't work very well with TEC's unless they are small or undervolted. They generally need water cooling certainly with any TEC's you might use with an i7.

my purpose is not so much as to try to cool the cpu but to put the heat of the cpu onto the air cooler faster/more efficiently. duno if that makes sense.

i guess me question would be, are there 2 sets of holes in the hot/cold plates? 1 set of holes being used to mount the peltier between the plates while the 2nd set of holes is used to mount the whole assembly to the mobo/cpu/cooler?

here's the thing. my system is immersed. my problem is that i can't get the heat off the cpu and into the oil fast enough. oil temp is at 37C but my cpu is reading at 80C both under load. so i figured i could use a pelt to assist it transfering the heat from the cpu to the air cooler.
