I just purchased the Ultra Chilltec TEC and am pretty excited when i was searching i found a guy selling a modded one that sounded pretty interesting especially since he called out the specific CPU i was using running at 4.0Ghz at a very safe temperature. here is the link. Does anybody know how to do this or have an opinion on it? Thanks.

seems very expensive for what it is IMO. O/C potential is very dependant on if your chip is from a good or bad batch - maybe his was from a very good batch

I wouldn't touch it. The only mod he did to it was so that it is still on at idle, and 1% more at load. You'd be better off with a Megatron.

that's me selling that on eBay. It works very well. I got the temps to go down that low. Yes you are better off changing the TEC to a 100w but you will need all that stuff I am selling on eBay. I have made four of those for freinds and they love it.

Ok well then you need to change your add. The TEC isn’t a 50 watt TEC. The stock TEC simply uses 50 watts of electricity at the stock input voltage

Okay. So since I bought a 100w TEC that means it's not a 100w TEC? You are making any sence to me at all. On the website for the Chiltec it's says it has a 50w TEC the V10 has a 75w TEC. Are they liying about that too? If it uses 50w then that means it's a 50w TEC.

Quote:
I can go out and buy a 226 watts of QMAX TEC and put 1 volt into it making is draw say 5watts of electricity .. Because the TEC is only drawing 5 watts of electricity doesn't mean it's now a 5watt TEC it's still a 226 watts of Qmax that's just drawing 5watts of electricity .. SO the TEC that comes with it could theoretically be anything. It could be a 100 watt Qmax or Pmax or more or less. http://www.ultraproducts.com/product...&productID=571
