yeah, i love bolts... :P
for TEC i'd just make those longer and use nuts to secure the cold plate to it. and yeah, if when i ever get/build a mill im definately gonna do something with recirculating cutting fluid...

A o-ring would be good with acrylic if you can cut a groove for it. If you end up using HDPE or Delrin automotive water pump gasket with a little red Permatex on each side makes a real good one shot gasket. You can get short rolls of water pump gasket here at the auto shops for a couple of dollars.

All metal blocks are nice, plus they would be great for a slush-box or salt-water aquarium chiller loop to.
