Default Boreas question

I got myself a boreas today, I'm planning on changing out the pump & block for my mcp355 (xspc laing top) & koolance 350at. Tubing currently on the boreas looks like 1/4"ID, anyone see any problems with using 1/4" to 1/2" adapters to use 1/2" tubing or any other obvious flaws in my plan?

I'll probably run it as is to see what it can do before modifying it with new hardware. If anyone has advice for a smooth install I'm listening...

It's 86F in here right now, I'll probably start a bit later when the heat isn't sucking the energy from me.

the boreas has 4 blocks with TEC's, so if you run those 4 blocks parallel off some manifolds (Koolance makes the perfect ones for this job) you can use 1/2" troughout the loop, and 1/4" from the manifolds to the chillers.

I was hoping to pull it off with what I could get at local stores, do you think just using the reducers (1 at the pump & 1 in the hose to the cpu block) would mess with performance too much?
I'd also be changing out the coolant for feser1.
I'm fighting with new vga cards at the moment & will have to get to the stock boreas install tomorrow.

Have it installed stock now, anyone had an mtec sensor glitch? I've got it set to keep coolant at 25C, mtec says coolant is at 75C, my temp sensor has it at 17C in 28C ambient, tec & fans are at 100% & the waterblock feels cold enough to get condensation...

Cores are idling cooler than I've seen with TRUE or custom water though. Stress coming up...

Edit: stress test hadn't gone 2 minutes & I saw my scariest temps ever. Only flashed up for a second on a couple cores but still. Second thumbnail attached.

Another edit: figured it out, everything had to be plugged into chiller B side. At 3.8 Ghz doing about 5C better than water. I'll let er run loaded while I pass out before the sun is fully up & see if there's any destruction in the morning.

Did you updated the firmware already, and downloaded the latest MTEC controlcenter software?

I did get everything working last night, firmware was already the latest version & I updated the software. Turned out I had fans, pump & sensor into chiller A side & it all needed to be plugged into chiller B to work properly (no instructions with it, not noob friendly).
Left a stress test running when I went to bed but power blinked out a couple hours ago & now stressing again, will do a results thread later.

One more question, hopefully someone knows if I could add brass to a loop, using 4 x 1/4" barbs (easy to find) I could just do the whole custom loop with the boreas using the 1/4"ID already there. Would brass, anodized aluminum & nickel plated copper make a corrosion nightmare?

not sure... i'd get stainless steel or nickel plated barbs to be sure.
