Hey guys,

sorry if im asking a stupid question but is there a way i can loop like 3 tec's together to hold a higher heatload?
because i am looking to cool something that has like 200w of heat.

thanks

if you mean put them on top of eachother... EPIC NO!

if you mean put them NEXT to eachother, yes that will work.

Hmmm, ok thx LOL i like how you put that.

Do you think this would work for a VERY high heatload?

well theirs like no chip that would need that much cooling honestly. What are you talking about cooling?

depends... it can cool most CPUs, but its having some trouble with quadcores, especially the i7. that 545W figure is just how much power it consumes in operation... it may move only like 400W or so if you're lucky. and thats just moving... you'll need to establish a temperature difference over the device as well, which eats into the amount of heat it can transfer.

Yeah i see that 500w is just operation consumption. I can see a i7 at 4.4ghz+ would need something of that magnitude to get it going real low. I just dont trust TEC's but thats just me

545 iirc isn't much more than 300w Qmax.

^ yeah, i dont really trust TEC's that much either but i thought it would be a good option for the heatsink im making.

Im going for a reccord OC on air so TEC's seem to be the way to go.

Should i get that?

seems like a GREAT deal.

You'd have a hard time finding an air cooler that could handle the load of a massive TEC like that dude...

yeah... a heatsink the size of a full tower case should do the trick... best bet for that is having someone mill you a heatsink that doubles as a case from a solid block of aluminum.. yeah i realise how rediculous(ly awesome) that sounds.
