without being funny bootscamp....what exactly do you think a 168W TEC is going to do ???

It will be a 15.6v part do you intend running it at 12v ?

Straightaway the TEC will only cool to 130w assuming you clamp it correctly to 150-300 p.s.i. and use quality TIM and even then it might be questionable....you do realize how much heat just your CPU in your sig (if that's what your going to use ) will dump ?
You need to buy a TEC at least 1.5 times the wattage you plan to cool, certainly at least 1.25 times

Thats why it's cooling the liquid BEFORE it goes into the CPU.

???????

It doesn't matter where in the loop the TEC is...

Your making a common mistake....the coolant will not be completely cooled in one loop it wiil take time and numerous loops to lower in temp and also heat up....the temp of the entire loop will quickly average out especially if you have a decent flow rate.

Irrespective of your pre cooling or what whatever else you think you have the TEC needs to be rated ideally 1.5 times the max wattage heat input into the coolant and that would including heating by ambient temps and the warmer case temps.

That's if you want decent cooling - you havent said if your prepared to go sub ambient or not.

EDIT - Incidently didn't expect you to just go off and buy a TEC like that you haven't any idea how to set it up correctly.....

You WILL NOT be able to use a CPU air cooler on the hotside - I assume you are going to run that thing at 12v - you will have up to 280w coming off the hotside - air cooling wont cut it....not even a magahelem. You stand a chance of burning out the TEC.
