Default Mach II GT 775 Mounting Help

Ok, I stared at this for about an hour last night from 330-430 am...

So if i'm being a total dolt, then sorry.
But i can't figure out why this doesn't line up.

Pics should explain everything...
Lets name the peices so we understand what's what.
Metal thing with two posts: Part A
Black thing with 775 skt holes: Part B
Metal back plate and heating element with same shape as Part B: Part C

I also have 2 of part A, and 2 of Part B, so far as i can tell they are an identical pair.

Any and all help is appreciated.
Cheers,

As you can see, the hole doesn't line up with the IHS of the chip...

nope, the caps are in the same place... the problem is the opening in the metal bracket is not centered over the IHS of the CPU.

Well heres my guide that I did for the machIIGT install link

Did you try mixing the two sets that you have even if they look identical. Give it a shot. Other then that that is kind of weird.
