Default How much for a custom phase change system?

I was wondering how much would it cost to have a phase change system built for me by someone. Maybe a member here? A price breakdown would be great, or a link to some sites for parts. And if anyone out there build phase change units, give me a quote! Nothing overly extravagent, just a basic, decent phase change.

You'd probably spend less if you got a pre-packaged one.

NOL was building these during the summer, but stopped for school. You'd have to speak with him about this, he may or may not be building them over break. As for pricing I'm sure he could give you a rough estimate.

The custom phase change will most likely allow you to reach colder temps also.

Heck no. I’ve talked to nol before on the pricing of his units. His profit margin on those are dang near nothing. Without a case he sells them for like $500-600 if I’m correct, and $700-800 for it with a case. Not sure on added things such as a temperature sensor. Idk if he has a software controller for your pc or not. Those software controlled units suck anyway. Just added cost and pain, and as for buying a pre packaged one; yeah right! All of the ones I know of are overpriced and don’t even fit my needs. An overclocked quad will hit over a 225w heat load. The retail ones are only built to handle 200w. Get the point? Why wouldn’t you pay the same price or less for something that can handle a higher load, be more reliable, and not have those cheap dollar store software controller’s that quit in a month, and rendering your phase unit useless. You got to remember the prometia mach 2 gt, and the vapochill’s where built in the days of the single cores, 1 core vs. 4 cores, I think 4 produces much more heat.

The pricing really depends on the builder, mine was under $500 for -45C temps at load on a quad.

It really depends. I've worked on J-T Process autocascades that can be purchased for a few thousand dollars, but pull down into the -140C range for certain loads.
A small single refrigerant, single stage, system shouldn't push more then $800 or so. A proper conversion could be done much cheaper, but surely bulkier, from a condensing unit or window air conditioner for $500 or so. But that would be more towards -20 to -40C, could get yourself one built with a CPEV for adjustment at lower loads as well, but that adds a bit more to overall workings.
