Danfoss are good compressors but as stated I know the top one is too small.
Question though would the bottom one be decent for a waterchiller?

Neither are too weak.
No compressor is "too weak" with the data he's given. It depends entirely on your load and temperature. Design starts at the evaporator! Not the compressor! The second one is more suited, and could hold 200W around -10C with proper tuning. Even colder possibly if your willing to push it. I notice around here many people use r134a compressors with R507a or similar blends, the extra work is not really good for the compressor. I would stick to r134a with a r134a compressor. If your adventurous maybe try one of the Care 10 or 20 refrigerants. |
