Default Phase change cost question

Hey, quick question.

I saw the popular 800 dollar unit for sale on crazy pc.

Those temps indeed are phenomenal and obviously can't be over looked by a computer nerd at heart like myself :P

My question is does anybody know of some middle grade condensers? I'm not so much looking for -30°C but I'd be happy holding around 10-20 . I wouldn't imagine the cost to run these things 24/7 would be much more than a mini fridge.

What prevents condensation on the outside of the block?

Lastly if theres no more cost effective solutions, for 800 dollars do you have the ability to run multiple lines for GPU?

Cost for running a phase changer would be about the cost of a mini fridge about $20/ month if 24/7 use.

Condensation on the lines from the container/phase changer case to the cpu block is covered with around 1"-2" of insulation on each side of the inner tubes (so a 2-3" diameter 'hose' ). As for the part that attached to the cpu the cooling head in inclosed by plastic which as well acts as a insulator and you put foam around the socket and cpu to make a air tight seal between the head and cpu contact which is a piece of stopping condensation to form.
There is also on some units a heater that attaches to the back side of your motherboard to keep the board from freezing and condensation forming on the back.

For $800 unit custom made or bought online they are single head (cooling only 1 component) though on rare occasion there are multi head units but perform poorly as you are dividing up cooling capacity to 2 or 3 points 50% cpu 50% gpu or 33% cpu 33% gpu 1 33%gpu2

Whatever happened to those $300 units that OCZ said they were going to start making a couple years back? Did any low-cost phase change units from anybody ever hit for that matter?

They are out, but anything more than a low power core 2 would over-capacitate it.

Insulation :--)

If your evap is insulated airtight and your back plate is coated with dialectic grease and sealed with neoprene then you have no condensation.

Price...my units run from 450 upwards and all perform better than Vapo or Mach.
That said I am not taking orders right now sorry...

Coldbug,
Mind posting some of your projects, I really do enjoy seeing the different styles and way people put there stuff together. Some of these units actually would almost survive in the field!

I am currently building a new unit and will post picts as soon as I make a little more progress.

Unfortunately, I can not post picts of my previous builds which are posted already on another forum due to Forum rules but I will post my current build shortly :--)

Buy custom or build it yourself if you are tool-savvy.
