Default Thermaltake Xpressar Portable Phase-Change Cooling Systems

http://www.techpowerup.com/86111/The...ebit_2009.html

Think this will be comparable to the OCZ unit or worse. If its priced right, i would get one even if it barely keeps cpu below 0.

It will be much worse than the OCZ, it will not cool below 0. It should get below ambient though, altogether I see it as a useless gimick.

its built not to go below ambient. the ic keeps it at room temp at all times. although there is a turbo mode button that will drop it below ambient. using r134a you cant expect it to go far below embient. this actualy might not turn out to be a bad unit. unlike the cry-z ocz made. that was a complete failer. wth even happened to the hydrojet they where planing? anyway, the xpressar doesnt look to bad. tuned for 200watts.

I like the idea of this thing. It looks like it will be well-priced and appears to be of decent quality. The OCZ unit looked like crap even in the promo shots.

actualy when you get to look at thsi unit and read the info on the compressor and such it isn't a half bad unit. you sure woudlnt think so after seeing there water cooling but this unit is rather thought out. wont be the best performer but it'll be enugh for some moderate overclocks once you lose the 134a and get some r402a in it

4x 5.25 bay mount to be exact. they also have one that is built into the case im not all that thrilled for because it blocks the use of some pci slots. they rely should switch out the r134a for r402a so they can atleast tune it for atleast 250watts. hell even the local general store propane would work and they would save alot of money that way.
