Default Where should I learn this?

Phase change cooling seems VERY VERY cool to me (no pun intended). I am however, a super noob. Where are some good resources to begin getting my feet wet?

To build or to use?
Modern Refrigeration, and other textbooks, a good HVAC tech (not a "fridgie"), or as far as I can see there is some half decent guides here.

Well to use eventually, but from what I gather you basically have to build your own anymore?

Or pay to have one built, yes.
There seems to be a few commercial products, but what the other forumers constantly say (take that with a grain of salt considering it appears to be opinion), is that they're not up to it.

Where the heck do you even buy a system?

Edit: well I answered my own question, but those pre-builts seem to all be in their own little case that I guess you bolt to the bottom of your case.

Anyone know how hard it would be to rip all that stuff out and install it in my own unit?

well yes, sadly that is true. xs is basicly the only one left around anymore.

there is good info on http://www.under-the-ice.com/forums/...1dd88368e82684 and i have a list of good sites for you, but all of them are on overclockers.au and xtreme systems sticky's so lol. http://forums.overclockers.com.au/sh...d.php?t=322328

btw most people on xs are on under-the-ice forums. and nearly all buy products from them. i recomend you go though the overclockers.au sticky. the refridgeration basics one(http://www.refrigerationbasics.com/1024x768/rb1.htm) covers alot. from the basics of thermodynamics to charging a system.

and as also mentioned you need a good guide to go buy. modern refridgeration and air conditioning is probably the best.

btw! dont forget to get your epa lisence! http://www.epatest.com/608/ id recomend downloading there software. good guide and pre test questions.

also in regards to your comment, nol is the only builder left in the us and is out because of a car accident, and who knows what else. i heard chilly1 is back into manufacturing units, very good builder btw. well gl! i'll be here to help as much as i can, sadly that isnt very much.
