Default Extreme Cooling Showcase *56K Warning!*

When I joined the forum I was one of only a few (I could count the number of phase change users on one hand) but now, our numbers have grown nicely. With that in mind, let's see your phase change setups, we can't let the watercooling guys have all the fun.

I know most here have Vapochill's or Prometeia's but there are also a few with custom units. Perhaps with some pictures, we can encourage others to jump on the best 24/7 cooling solution available!

I guess I'll start but please keep comments and suggestions to PM only to the thread clean of chatter.

That was my old rig two years ago R507 Prometeia Mach I on a P4 2.4C (@ 4.08 GHz), Vapochill XE on the videocard on a various number of AGP videocards.

That's my current setup, R402A Prometeia Mach II GT with the videocard air cooled. Hopefully in the new year my friend has time to help me finish my SLI phase change cooler.

So let's see what you guys are using!

Here is a quick shot of my wee system ... will post some new ones up as the MB has changed to the Expert so a minor move for the Evap head.

EDIT: For those wishing to know what the Silver tube is over the ram - this is a duct from the rear In-Take fan of the Lian-Li case and works esp. well. Although the case fans had to be uprated to better CFM as the stock ones could not push the air through well enough.

(A reminder this thread is for pics only comments to be via PM or other members key threads)

Thanks

I must firstly apologise for the lack of pics as I'm not the best at taking photos during a build... I only remembered half way though the build to take some shots. Well here they are...

In the next few days I will attempt to find a home for the HUGE PCP&C850w and mount the LCD in one of the front bezels.

Cases in the beginning:

My shop, heh, lil messy but thers the phase change system right there.

Phase change pictures:

Cut off hdd rack:

Cut off all of the CD/DVD/HDD racks on the second case:

Fav tools :-P

Spray Paint time!:

Spray paint fan cords, accidently got osme on fans but it doesnt matter, you can't see it when they are in the case anyway:

Cut hole for phase change:

Cases bolted, a lil dusty:

Had to mess with the phase change for a whhile before I got it in there. Eventually had to continue the hole and cut off the side of the case whehre the hole was:

On the back I did some handy work. I included 3 fans, one in PCI slots, one where it would be normally and I drilled holes for a third on the psu slot then covered the other side of the psu with some thing that came with the fans. I put 3 fan controls in pci slots, and then a third in a usb slot and a cold cathhold switch in the monitor spot. I doubled up ducttape and stuck it to the inside so it all looks black:

I started doing little touch ups and mounted the mobo and psu about 1 oclock at night:

I mounted the evap, the black stuff is neoprene and the glistening stuff is dielectric waterproff grease:

Back:

More Mounting:

FINISHED: Well basically :-P

Back:

Front:

Side:

Other side:

It stands about 3 feet tall and about 20in long 7.8in wide.
Will post some benchies later, all I have so far is graphics oced to 625,785 stock cpu 3dmark05 = 8666
