Ok how easy is this now?

I have a 1080p HDCP monitor with a HDMI port and I want to use both my monitor and my 5.1 logitech computer speakers.

thank you very much for the tutorial!
I'm thinking about buying a PS3 but didn't want to spend a lot on new speakers so your tut really helped me
there is one thing I haven't quite understood however... did you use the AV cable to connect your speakers or did you use a hdmi cable?
(I'm a little confused because I thought AV was just for video ... but on the other hand I guess the HDMI exit is already blocked by the HDMI->DVI cable for the monitor)

So glad i found this tutorial, gonna embark on doing this in a couple days, got my DVI>HDMI cable already, not that worried about having to use the monitor speakers for now though. I'd like to take you up on that pcwhizzer in a couple days

About the PS3 -> montor thing. Can't we just get a HDMI male -> DVI male / female ?

Default playing my ps3 of my XPS/Dimension One
Hi I have manged to set up my ps3 playing off my XPS/Dimension One playing through the media center but when playing on the ps3 the controller seems to be slow and delays i dunno if its because my pc is not fast enough so the graphics are not that good so really i want to play using a hdmi cable but no were on pc to plug it in so need some help and advice.

Hi everyone, I'm very interested in getting my PS3 to work on my PC. I've read your guide and pretty much I've got it down but I have been a bit confused on some things. My monitor only has, VGA. Will it work HDMI-DVI then connected to DVI-VGA? I read somewhere else that since HDMI is digital and VGA is analog it won't work, but I also read otherwise...

Also, I'm sorry for so many questions but I don't have a T.V to play my PS3 on and it's kinda just sitting there collecting dust and I want to be ready for Modern Warfare 2. To the point, I don't wish to use speakers at all, I would like to use my headphones. Does this make it a simpler task or more complicated?
