i wonder if it will work for ps3 too? i think they use different controlers now too.

You can use a mouse and keyboard on the PS3, but I dont believe any games support them yet. I think UT3 will however.

And yes the PS3 and PS2 use different controllers. All PS3 controller devices/remotes are wireless blue-tooth. Which is actually better than IR, especially with the blu-ray remote, because you never need to point the control at the PS3. It can be buried under blankets and 10 feet away and still work.

But I've also had problems with my controllers for the PS3, mainly while in NCAA Football '08, where it will just start running in one direction and theres nothing you can do about it. Eh, maybe its just the game but it's annoying.
