yes..the urge came from the deadly GTA crazzze. you see i want to get a ps3 so i can play gta but not only that. ive put so much into making my computer 'modernized' for gaming when a simple console is much cheaper int he long run. im also looking at metal gear solids release. is it worth spending the money on a ps3 (it would be the 80gig for sure, im not going to settle for the 40 for wireless, and other features.).

im just scared ill get bored of the system and wont use it..what are your opinions? i can afford the system, its just a matter of it being worth the buy

edit: i know theres lots of threads on this,, i just wanted to add my own reasons and not hijack another persons thread!

If you're mainly getting a PS3 for the recent release of GTA IV, then I would hold off for a while. There has been issues of GTA IV loading its contents into the cache. The cache is being overloaded and causing lock-ups (freezes).

Meanwhile, the other exclusive release of PS3 games has a high hype level. Metal Gear Solid 4, Final FanTasy XIII/& Versus, Resistance 2, HOME, and more.

Even though I only own two games for the PS3 at the moment, MotorStorm and F.E.A.R, I enjoy the few multiplayer demos and single player demos that the PlayStation Network offers.

I'd say go for it! I love mines. :3 And I'm impatiently waiting for the upcoming games. D:

All versions (to my knowledge) have wireless and Bluetooth.

To the OP: I bought my PS3 for Blu-ray capability and because it was a special with a bunch of free movies when you purchased it. I have been extremely pleased with it as a Blu-Ray player. I have rented a couple of games for it, but on the whole have been displeased with the games. I would say that I use my PS3 less than an hour per week. It folds 24/7 and might play a movie once a week.
It looks great when you play games on it, it's just the selection of games is terrible. PC is still king when it comes to selection, price, and overall quality of games.

I actually really like mine. My main vehicle is an xbox 360, but the ps3 has some key, key exclusives, and feels different, if that makes sense, in its emphasis on what graphics effects it really plays up. Drake's uncharted is sweet, along a few others. God of war, though, is sweet, both in legacy, and there's gonna be one more of those one day soon.

They all have wireless and ps2 emulation.

Ebay has some great deals; I got my 80gb for only 392 with shipping. Brand new, just a cosmetic box issue.

i'd go for it. i have one.. i like it. i have a few games for it but i use it alot to watch movies on the web also.

im not sure. i just use the joystick its not that bad. i know the keyboard should work for a fact. i dont know about the mouse.
