Ok, so here's the deal. We have a facility here that has a room available and the boss decided to make it a GAMING room. The idea is to have 6 60inch TVs and 6 gaming consoles. We're looking for games like HALO where you can split the screen in 4. If 4splitscreenx6tvs= 24ppl. so we could have up to 24 people.

What would be the best gaming console to do this with ? I've looked online apparently they can both do LAN.
Is there a limit on how many can we connect?
Is there a limit on games ?


Can you share some PROs and CONs that you had/ or we might encounter with ?

Both PS3 and Xbox can link more than 6 consoles for LAN play, so your issue is not there. I think the issue for you will be finding games that allow 4 player split screen, but also allow you to have that many players in the same game. For instance, you can not have that many people in Halo 1, 2 or 3 as the max players in a game is 16. Resistance can have i believe 60 player skirmishes. What type of games do you want to play? Again, i think the limitations are going to be on the games you can play with that many people. RSV 1 or 2 allow 2 player on each screen, so you could only have 12 players (the max cap is 16).

Well the age we're aiming for is from 13-14 and up.

so i was thinking games like
Counter Strike
Battlefield 2
HALO..

personally I dont own any gaming console, cause i already play too many PC games. But Can u guys tell me some game names and how many people could play LAN ?

In my post, i listed some games:

Halo 16 players
Resistance 60 players (not sure about LAN though)
Rainbow Six Vegas 1 & 2 16 players (only 2 players per screen)
Battlefield Modern Combat - 24 players
CounterStrike - 16 players
Splinter Cell Chaos Theory - 4 players (each on their own xbox)

You should visit IGN.com, where they tell you the number of players for each game. I would suggest Halo 3, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, RSV etc.

Call of Duty 4 would probally work good, not sure about split screen on it though.

I say the 360 due to lack of any really good multiplayer games on the Ps3 for now other then Warhawk, GT5-P, and soon-to-be Metal Gear Online.

Get PS3s, when Resistance 2 will be out you'll be glad you did

Good racing game: GRID and Gran Turismo 5 (not out yet)
Good "battlefield" game: Warhawk
Good FPS: Haze, Resistance 2 (not out yet), Call of Duty 4

There are also some good PS Network multiplayer games like Calling All Cars (7 players)

LittleBigPlanet, coming October, is certain to be a multiplayer hit.

This is all I can think of right now.
