.... Seriously have you ever played a PS3 online versing a friend? I have an xbox 360 and a PS3, I use both alot, You know the reason why i prefer the PS3? Because of Blu-ray, oh and PSN is really nice, I hate flicking through a million pages trying to find which one of your friends is playing which game where. PSN is free, XBL is not. Also this is up to personal preference but i prefer the PS3 controller, it was what i was bought up on, its what i will continue to use.

I own both consoles. If it were me I would so both are a nice buy, but if you are going to hook it up to a monitor and not a TV the Blu Ray feature may not matter as much to you.

I think they both cost relatively the same. You can't exactly find 80 GB PS3's anymore. And the Elite is still the way to go for 360 (120GB HD, how do you argue with that?). You can upgrade the PS3 HD with a laptop hard drive. Are you ever going to take the PS3 to a friends house or another TV to watch Blu-Ray? Do you want to pay 50 bucks every year for X-box Live? What kind of games do you play?

Both have a vareity of games.

Since I like games on both and I don't think one heavily outweighs the other in titles I bought both eventually. Perhaps you should go with what best excites you if nothing else.

For PC fanboys...why get a PS3? It is practically a PC. Get a 360 for sure.

You should actually try it. Call Of Duty 4 actually works better on a PS3 online. For the money you pay for 360 you get in-game friend chats etc but thats coming for PS3. Its really not THAT much of a deal-breaker when coming to actually deciding which console to buy. PSN is pretty solid. Just the early games didnt quite make such good use of it.

Agreed. How many times has PS Home been delayed? Yeah, so I am going to be an early adopter for an online function that is such a huge deal for Sony yet has taken years to actually come out. Probably not.

Half the reason I bought the PS3 was for Blu Ray and recently they have enough games to justify the cost (or at least to me). However, if they can't deliver good games this year or their cornerstone games suck it up I will be likely to consider investing mostly in Blu Ray movies rather than their games. All that said I think at least some of that games will deliver.

I'd say go for whatever one you like the games for...

If you like FPS - get a 360

If you like adventure/RPG/platformer/some FPS - get a PS3

but if you play mainly online, get a 360...XBOX live is hard to beat when it comes to online play...

Right. I'll admit, for 1080p, this thing is amazing, but for gaming, the 360 is king. CURRENTLY, Xbox Live is better than PSN. It has more features, what ever. Sony says that they have stuff coming, but so does Microsoft. The Xbox is always 1 step ahead with OnLine stuff.

And seriously, the Cell processor? Come on! It doesn't seem to be giving it the lead Sony said it would...

yea but who really wants to pay monthly to play online, where on the PSN it's free, that's one of the reasons I picked the ps3, not to mention, it's blu-ray capability, and look; i say the ps3 is more futureproof
