Default Purchased New PS3 60gb. Need help with connectivity thoughts.

I just purchased a new PS3 60gb for $420.00 and was wondering how to go about connecting it PLUS a Wii and my PC all to my monitor at the same time?

I have looked up this: http://www.x2vga.com/product

I am wondering if this is the best way to go about doing it or if there is a wiser solution? I only want high video output, no bad signals for example. The thing I see wrong with what I linked is that it is a VGA connector and not a DVI. Though I am still wondering if this will make my PC games PS3 and Wii look nice.

Thanks for reading and I appreciate any help you can give on the thought!

EDIT: Forgot to add, how do I get sound out of the above link to the box I show there? That box may be great for video but sound would be a problem no?

so that thing has two component video inputs, and im assuming other inputs (i jsut skimmed through it) and a switch that allows to to change around, then an output that goes to your monitor?

that seems pretty cool, as long as it doesnt hurt the quality.

Yeah that is what I was worried about. I don't want to lose the quality of a pure digital connection even though it says it supports up to 1080p quality. That is why I was wondering if anyone else had some other ideas. Me myself have never used my computer for anything other than work and gaming (plus a little movie watching now and then).

Why don't you just get a hd tv? I don't think a 20" monitor will be worth it on a ps3.

All the switching boxes designed for the consoles seem to be VGA for some reason. Some LCD monitors don't display a very good picture over VGA, so that could potentially be an issue.

Picture wise, the best thing to do is to do HDMI>DVI, and get a DVI switch, then run the audio over the normal RCA cables and get whatever converter you may need for your speakers, if any.

I would get a HDMI --> DVI and a HDMI switch. Alot of the better multimedia switches have HDMI and composite inputs also which your monitor might take.

Also, congrats on the 60GB that was a sweet find.
