Default PSP weak signal with 80%+ @ wifi access point???

I googled for an answer but maybe I wasn't using the correct keywords. Also I was gonna try and post over at psp-mods but the website is down or something. Anyways here is my problem.

So at work we have wireless internet all over the place. When I setup my PSP and scan it shows an access point with 80%+ signal strength and no wep. I do the setup and when I goto connect it says something like "can not connect, weak signal". Any suggestions on the problem?

I know my PSP can connect at 50% because at my house in some parts its that and it connects no problem.

Make sure your work WiFi has 802.11b enabled. PSP will detect the network on 802.11g, but can only talk on 802.11b. I had this same problem with my home network at first.
