Default Problems hooking up the PS3

I just picked up the MGS4 80GB PS3 Bundle, started hooking it all up. I'm using standard composite right now, I plug in my Red, White, Yellow, and I've tried Video 1, 2, and 3, and also tried a PS2 A/V Cable, whenever I plug the connector into the back of the PS3 without even having the system turned on, the video gets a little distorted, and I start getting some feedback coming from the TV, any idea what is going on?

Found out what the problem was with some research, the coaxial cable going into my TV was causing interference, unplugged it and everything is fine now, talk about a pain in the rear though.
