Default I have a handful of PS2s laying around...
Is there anything cool I can do with them? Ive been reading about Linux and such but apparently you need a kit that is no longer made. Ideas? If not, I may just sell them.

you don't need a kit you can install a regular ide hard drive. It takes special software but you can get that on the net i'm sure

regular IDE HDD won't work because on a slite distance where the jumper is(tested with old 40GB IDE WD HDD) i thinks it's just WD the other might work aswell not sure

it only works on the old phat ps2
the network adaptor has a ide port on it

no you cant save to it without having a modded bios or modchip


its almost impossible to put linux or anything like that on a ps2
xbox is alot easier
