So my bro and his buddies bought a ps3, mgs4, cod4, and army of two. While these are all great games, I wanna rent a game that isn't fps. Got any suggestions?

Forgot to mention that I don't particularly care for strategy games. I've heard gta4 is good, is this so?

EDIT: I'm guessing they don't rent guitar hero with the controller. I'd love to play that.

Its not bad if you like the genre, burnout paradise is really good if you like racing games, and ratchet and clank is a great platformer.

Any genre you particularly like? Because Uncharted is great, Wipeout HD is great (PSN Store though, 20 bucks), Heavenly Sword is an excellent rental, Little Big Planet coming out soon.

I'm probably just gonna rent some of these games so I can have my few days of fun. So if I want to play gh3, I pretty much have to buy it? Right now I'm most interested in gta4, but parents might no let me rent it. And can you answer a question about backwards compatibility? I've been reading and it's confusing. They got the 80gb version.

Uncharted is a must
Bioshock will be out soon if you didn't play the PC version
Burnout Paradise is a must


Hold out on GTA4 until the trophies patch is released, that is if you care.

Star Wars Force Unleashed is a semi-good rental.

Heavenly Sword (heard it's a tad short so would be a great rental)
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots
GTA IV (multi-platform but still a great game)


Star Wars The Force Unleashed gets an honorable mention for a rental if you are a big star wars fan as well, the camera and targetting are kinda shabby but if you can overcome that, then it's a good game..

Also Bioshock coming as well, dug up some rumored info off of playstationlifestyle.net:

New opening video around 6 minutes long on how life was like before Rapture went bad. Original video starts after this one ends.

Trophies of course will be in the game.

Exclusive new level, with 2 new enemies, thought to be the ‘zoo’ level that was excluded from the original 360 edition due to running out of time.

Some levels may have been tweaked from the 360 version.

All downloadable content after the release will be free.

The game will take advantage of the SIXAXIS motion sensing technology.

Slightly better Graphics, less pop-up and loading times decreased thanks to hard drive install.


Jealous that PS3 owners get exclusives that 360 owners don't get, here's to hoping they release this stuff as a GOTY edition for 360 as well!
