Wow. It took 10 replies for the guy to actually get an answer that was ON topic.
If you wanna moan about how much flaming goes on, there's a forum called OFF TOPIC.

I, myself, wouldn't know. I guess they would look the same yes however the PS3 supports full HD, whereas the 360 is upscaled, so I'm guessing the PS3 would probably look slightly more clear.

Incorrect they both support full HD 1080p, but most of the games (PS3 and 360) usually are just up-scaled from whatever resolution they are running at natively.

~on topic~the differences between the 2 would not be very noticeable at all. The only difference you would get is warmer colors vs cooler colors.

didn't the first xbox's not have HDMi, only component therefore not capable of achieving 1080p?

Erm, Maybe his friends have xbox's and he wants to play CoD with them???

I don't know which one looks better, but it's correct that both consoles tend to upscale on a lot of games to preserve framerate. But most 32" tvs are 13--x7-- anyway and not full 1080p, so I wouldn't worry too much about that. I wouldn't pick between 2 consoles based on the image quality at this level anyway, I'd be more concerned with which 'exclusive' games were on the way.

1080p is not HDMI only. you can get 1080p through component as long as the TV supports it. 1080p is also achievable through the Microsoft VGA Cable.

put it this way, if you play cod4 on one console, put it down for 10 minutes and then play the other console, you wont tell any difference. Side by side it will look a bit different but nothing major.
