on myne when i click on my laptop i get the pictures and video, etc. once i click on one it comes up with stupid stuff like albums, keywords, ratings, and folders when i click that it lets me explore my real folders.

Ok thanks. Can you give me some more info about that ? What is a network drive ? A sepperate hard drive ? I just want to browse my folders via my PS3. And watch / listen to the content. That's all. I don't want a seperate drive which I can browse. I'd have to save everything double to also beable to use it on my PlayStation 3.

well a network drive is an extrenal hard drive, same as any other, but instead of conecting it via usb, you plug it in your router ( network port, there is some wireless oness too )

and no you would not have to save the data twice, instead just move all media to the networked drive

this or somthing similar should do the trick
