How does the PS3 hold up in this area? I already have an HTPC using XBMC as my movie manager to get plot summaries, poster art, fan art, etc.
__________________![]() Is there such interface like that with a PS3 that does more than just display a the movie name? Also, most of my stuff is in MKV format if that matters.

Sorry nothing yet. The best you can do is stream from your pc or a source.

Actually, there are converters for divx/mkv files to be played on ps3. Google is your friend.

The PS3 plays DivX/XviD nowadays... plus, many MKVs can be simply remuxed to mp4 and played (takes a minute or less, no quality loss, same size).

I don't have a PS3. I'm just asking questions before I get one.
__________________![]() I already knew there were plenty of ways like PS3 Media Server to stream and convert movies, but I was more interested in a nice interface. If there had been a nice interface, I would've sold off my HTPC to help cover the cost of the PS3. But I guess I'm keeping the HTPC.

I use mine to play movies. last tiem i tried toplay an mkv file it wont play. I just convert them to avi's and trasnfer them to the ps3.
Movie list is more less well jsut a list. Do not recall every option for the list sicne i keep them from a to z ![]() edit: i use Red Kawa software for coverting and moving files. never tried to steam them since when i 1st started to use it wasn working. I think they fixed that a year ago or so.
