Default I Have just baked the PS3 Mobo in the oven @ 200'C for 15 mins

Were hoping its going to fix it for the second time, first i had to hot swap a Blue ray drive a few months ago, after the original was not reading Blueray now you turn it on and it beeps twice and goes to instant red light.
it was a 6 month old warranty replacement Sony sent us for our original PS3 that had another type of failure just within warranty.
By the way sony dont make a point of telling you that you only get 3 months warranty on your replacement PS3 sent by them .... get that lol.

ok heres couple pic's i know you all love to see pic's so it's hads 18 mins in the oven at 200'C fan assisted,
watched carefully for the last 5 mins, plastic bits that I was unable to remove prior to baking just started to go so killed the oven, let out a bit of heat and let it stand in the oven for 10 more mins, now cooling on the table as you see

Well done Glad it worked for you.

Kinda off-topic: Your TV Remote; is it for Wharfedale freeview? If so - does the sound cut out every so often?

i'm speechless, its running flawlessly, one of my flat mates is now lodged andwill be for several hours to come yet this evening ive no doubt as its been fooked for about a month so we'll see if its a long standing fix, as we thought we had nothing else to lose by trying. we'd give it a go
by the way i had sourced this from a you tube video where an american guy done it with a heat torch,
I dont have one of those so decided to bake instead and its running perferct!!!
