Probably something happened in the bluray drive, and the laser is probably messed up.

Most likely the drive/laser is slightly busted and may need to be replaced. Is your PS3 currently under Warranty? If so, I think that would be the easiest solution, as it would be free to repair if under warranty, and will be replaced by Sony and not cause you to have to open the PS3 and/or repair it yourself and void your warranty by doing so.

You may be able to look online for some companies that do repairs, but I don't know of any way to fix it if the drive is busted or causing a problem like that.
