This is only Semi related PS3 I guess.

I have heard that one can get region free Blu ray movies effectively allowing these to be played on any PS3.

Can anyone confirm this is true?

if so any suggestions as to a good source of such a movie?

I will answer my own question on this one for those that are also curious. It seems that it depends on the studio that releases the Disc and where you buy it.

For example:

Studio Example

Sony BD are all regionally encoded
Warner Brothers are not

Where you buy it from:

I used the Matrix Trilogy as the example

On Amazon US the box set was regionally encoded to the US
On Amazon UK it was region free

Strange but true.....

Let me know if anyone has different findings.
